Watson secures first ABA for Northumbria!
Michael Watson has won Northumbria School of Boxing's first National Title in the 80kg class of the Junior ABAs at Everton Park on Saturday 31st May against Kane Thompson of Portsmouth.

McCrory re-united with Tyson
IRON Mike Tyson sent Tyneside boxing fans into a frenzy on his first visit to the North East. The former world heavyweight boxing champion was in Gateshead last night on a promotional tour.
Surrounded by security guards, he smiled at the crowds of fans young and old who flocked to Federation Brewery to catch a glimpse of the sporting legend. 
PRESS RELEASE - McCrory's gym to appear in Olympic guide
The Glenn McCrory School of Boxing has been selected to appear in the London Organising Committee Pre-Games Training Camp Guide alongside 18 other facilities from the North East, it was revealed today. A testament to the School of Boxing's high quality capacity and existing contribution to sport in the Newcastle area, as only those facilities of the highest standard were picked as camps for athletes to train at in the run-up to the 2012 Olympics.

Frank to bring back the big times
TOP London promoter Frank Maloney is to bring big-time boxing back to Tyneside. Maloney, the former manager of world heavyweight champion Lennox Lewis, flew into Newcastle for talks with Glenn McCrory at the Northumbria dinner show in the Marriott Gosforth Park Hotel.
